Why do we meet? Decision making Part 3 of 3 part series
In previous blogs I’ve discussed whether we should meet or not. If we have decided we need to bring people together for a physical or virtual meeting, we still need to establish the purpose for the meeting.
One of the biggest time wasters when it comes to decision making meeting is deferral. There are three reasons people defer:
- Insufficient information or data
- Wrong people in the room
- Fear of making the call
The critical success factors for decision making is ensuring you have the right, empowered people in the room to make the decision and an agreement that the decision will be made even if some people can’t be there.
